Perhaps allowing an 8-year-old to fire an Uzi is to the Second Amendment what allowing one to read Hustler would be to the First Amendment
Perhaps not. Setting all subjective moral beliefs aside, however, in the United States of America it is actually legal to allow a young child to fire an Uzi while allowing one to read Hustler would most certainly provide legal grounds for an inquiry from Child Protective Services likely to result in diminished parental rights and/or jail time. The adults who allowed this horrific shooting death to occur are as likely to face jail time as Hustler is to go out of business.

Hands Up!
If you're not surprised to read that the guns used in nineteen recent Philadelphia murders were reintroduced into illicit circulation after being seized by Upper Darby Township cops. The Inky has the whole sordid story on today's online front page. The mentally challenged pigs apparently thought it would be a good idea to raise some petty cash by unloading the firearms they seized from local criminals at a local pawn shop [where the criminals could easily get them back after making a donation to a local Republican business man].

Firearm-based violence is out of control in Philadelphia, so this might actually be a good idea. I give the Philly PD spokesguy credit for doing his best not to sound like big brother.
